I ran across this advertisement in a now public domain copy of Lippincott’s Monthly Magazine Advertiser. The ad makes reference to a handbook produced by R. J. Horner titled, “How to Furnish Our American Homes”. I see that Columbia University may have a copy of this handbook, but other than that I cannot locate a copy anywhere else. If anyone has information on a surviving copy of this or is nearby Columbia University, please let me know.
