Published by at 6:24 pm under Ebay,RJ Horner

Up for auction is this well-carved throne or X-chair with figural lions on the armrests. The back of the chair is especially well carved with either a man-of-the-mountain or Zeus face prominently displayed. The two handles on the chair back are also carved lion figures with open mouths and fangs.

Bidding starts at $200 and expected range is $400 to $600.  More at the listing.

I had this exact chair that I inherited from my father. It was stolen from me on Buckingham Street in Chicago, Illinois in the early 90’s. I’m not claiming this is mine. I am just asking if these are common. Because it had such sentimental value, I only hope to find one like it and replace it.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure how common, but I haven’t seen others in years.
