Signed Maple Horner Chests

Published by under RJ Horner

Not that I’ve been a fan of Horner pieces for eons (probably 2 years) but I’ve never seen Horner items done in maple… until now. There are two maple/birdseye maple bedroom pieces currently on sale separately: this four-drawer piece, and a six-drawer chest. Both are signed R.J. Horner & Co., Furniture Makers and Importers. Bidding ends May 25th.

Winged Griffin Horner Dining Set

Published by under RJ Horner

As usual, you can always count on Bradford’s Antiques to bring a great R.J. Horner piece up for sale. In this case, it is pieces – plural, with a great full dining set of quartersawn oak. This set is in unbelievable restored condition and would be the highlight of any dining room, heck, highlight of any house. One thing about this table that I don’t like relative to other tables from Horner that I’ve seen – the skirts on the table leaves are not carved to match the table ends. Not a problem, really, just a nice-to-have. Bidding starts at $5,000 but the final value will be far north of that. Make sure you bid by May 10th if you are interested!
